[ While en route to Westeros. There's a note slipped on the nightstand of his cabin one morning: ]

We're about to pass an island that you might want to check out with me, so I suggest you convince your captain to make a stop, Your Grace. Might as well give the Stark forces a day more to get ahead.

[ Now he's extremely curious what she has in store for him. The note for her is served with her breakfast. ]

You make it sound like he doesn't just do as I say, my Island Fire. It will be done, but which island shall we stop at?

Doesn't it make things better if he does what you say because you asked nicely?

The one coming up our starboard side. We'll reach it before noon, I think. I can show you its secrets later, and your men can use a breather. There's a beautiful waterfall not too far inland.

[ He knows to take her advice on these things, because she's right, it would be kinder and nicer of him to do as she says. ]

I'll talk to the captain and make it so kindly. The men would enjoy getting off and having some time to relax a little, I'm sure. And it leaves us free to see the secrets you mentioned. And the waterfall sounds lovely.

[ And true to his word, he asks the captain instead of orders. Which does seem to go over well because the man is happy to stop. Especially with the word that it's so they can anchor and relax for a little while. Something Aegon has not done before with his men. ]

[ While they're standing on the deck, watching the men start to leave to take their break and enjoy some time by the waterfall: ]

See? A little kindness can go a long way.

[ Especially with soldiers who are exhausted from doing nothing but fight and follow orders. Though in a way, he's like them in that regard.

She turns to face him, grinning. ] Are you ready for your surprise?

[ His arm settles around her waist to draw her into him as he nods at a few of the men when they slip past. And she's right, they look happy to be able to get some rest and fun. ]

You, my Island Fire, are incredibly wise.

[ In some ways, he is like them. Because he follows his uncle's orders despite technically being the king. But she's helped him to see where things have gone wrong, and helped him to work on fixing things as they can without giving their hand to his uncle.

Dipping, he'll steal a kiss when she grins up at him. ] I am very much ready for my surprise.

I knew I shouldn't have given you a key to my apartment.

[ The words alone might have seemed scolding but Brianna's tone was that of someone attempting to sound serious while also attempting to stop themselves from smiling.

She had gotten home only a few minutes ago to find that someone had taken the liberty of livening the apartment up with a couple flower arrangements and the dining table, usually covered with old mail and assorted things that hadn't been put away yet, appeared set for a meal for two. ]

What am I going to do with all these flowers? [ With a fake dramatic sigh she looks to the sofa, where Jon was perched looking quite pleased with himself. It's surprisingly difficult to be even fake upset with him when his face is lit up with a smile. Still, Brianna points a finger at him. ] You are absolutely ridiculous.

It was the best thing that you've ever done, giving me that key.

[ He'd gone to a lot of effort to make sure that tonight was as close to perfect as he could make it for her once she got home. Both from the flowers, to the home-cooked meal. The kitchen didn't even show the burden of cooking the meal, because Jon had made sure to clean up as he cooked so there'll only be their dishes to deal with after the meal.

Though he grins at her when she asks about the flowers. ] Love them and enjoy them. [ Pushing up from the sofa, he moves over to her, because he's enjoying how she's trying to be dramatic and put out by it. ] And I knew you'd actually love it despite telling me you didn't.

[ She sighs, dramatic and exaggerated, at his reply to the flowers. ] If I go in the bedroom and I see a single petal, you're sleeping on the couch. [ While she's legitimately not crazy about that particular idea, the threat is a hollow one simply because they both know even if she did that she'd end up joining him on the couch later. (It's not her fault she sleeps so much better next to him.) Still, she scrunches her nose up and playfully pokes his chest. ] You're lucky I don't have any flower allergies.

[ It is harder for her to be so fake dramatic when he's near, though. ]

Guess it's good nothing made me late. [ she remarks, finally relenting a bit as she steps in closer and drapes her arms around his neck. ] I don't know what you've been cooking but it smells delicious.

Robb? I have just received the strangest message. It seems to be another one of Doubleneon's jests. It's signed with your name.

[ It's a Valentines e-card and SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT IT IS, thank you Robb! ]

It is from me. I am not entirely sure what it is but I was, but someone told me to send one to you for today. That it would be special.

[ He's still new at all of this too. But someone who saw them together was like, this is what today is about, send her this sweet e-card telling her she is lovely and he loves her. ]

[ It takes her a few minutes, because she's playing it over and over, trying to make sense of it. ]

The moving pictures perplexed me so, but I think I understand this now. It's very sweet of you, thank you.

[ Part of him worries maybe he's overstepped with her and this when she takes a moment. But then she answers him and he smiles at his phone. ]

I had to get used to them too, they are strange things.

Well, then we'll have to get the flavored ice on a stick after we have some of our dinner. It's portable, so we can eat it while taking a walk and enjoying the night, if you're interested. [ Or at least the walk back to their rooms. ]

Valentine's Day. It's a holiday to celebrate love. Couples use it as a fun, sweet thing to do to just be together.

And I'm taking you to dinner for it, if you'll let me.

[ Because of course he won't tell her what to do and he'll back down if she doesn't want to. But at the same time, he's hoping she'll be open to this holiday. ]

Yes, there are flowers, chocolates, and a special dinner.

[ Dean isn't normally a romantic person in the outwardly showing kind of way. But at the same time, he strongly wants to give this to her. To show her she's cared for and loved, that she can enjoy the day and attention. ]

Not in the slightest. Why would it shame me to be seen happy with a woman who is happy with me?

I don't mind at all. I want you feeling safe and comfortable, Jeyne. Most importantly, I want you to be able to enjoy the night with me. And if being out among everyone is going to stress you out, the we'll do it later down the road, when you do feel more comfortable.

[ He's been tempted to punch her ex from time to time with the gaggle of women he's seeming to work his way through, if only because he knows it hurts Jeyne. The only reason he's refraining is because he knows she's kind enough she doesn't want to see Robb hurt either, even if he is being a jerk about everything.

There are better things to focus on anyway. ] I was thinking of exposing you to the idea of aliens. It's not exactly a romantic movie, but it's got a good partnership between two agents keeping the world safe from aliens that aren't following galactic rules. And it's a comedy with action, so I thought it might make you laugh. [ Men in Black. He's totally curious to see what she'll think of it. And he didn't include the title because he knows it'll mean nothing to her without the explanation anyway. ]
