Lizzie's emotions were all over the place at the moment. She was feeling rage, pain, guilt, grief. It was a lot to handle all at the same time. How she felt about MG and Ethan had temporarily been put on the backburner. Alaric was dying. And Hope had been the one to put him in the hospital. Vampire blood couldn't save him. And he seemed to be giving up.
Lizzie wanted to go back into his head, to scream at him to fight. But she knew it wouldn't do any good. Still, there had to be some way to save him. She needed to get away, needed to think. She left Josie and their friends in the hospital and decided to take a walk. If she could clear her head then maybe she could think of something.
Lizzie was unconcerned with her own safety right now as she brushed tears from her eyes and tried to take a few deep breaths. Malivore had been defeated, but at what cost? Hope was the tribrid now and she'd flipped her humanity switch but what had they expected? She had been all about Landon and now he was gone, truly gone this time. They should have seen this coming. Maybe if she hadn't been so selfish, she would have.
She picked up the pace, putting more distance between herself and the hospital. She just had to get away. She knew Josie would text her if there was any change in Alaric's condition. She choked back tears as they started flowing again and forced herself to calm down. Tears would not save her father.
